Matrox DualHead2Go
Hi
I am using a PC with a Matrox DualHead2Go to give me dual head output. The problem is it provides a stretched 2048 x 768 display and Zionworx sees this as one very wide display. Can you help please?

Hi Alan,
Just to let you know that in 3.1.0.0 we've added the ability to define the position of the presentation window as well as a custom size.
Hopefully this will satisfy what you need to work successfully with the Matrox DualHead2Go.

We don't have access to a Matrox unit currently to test a possible solution. Having had a look at some details of the control software (http://www.matrox.com/graphics/media/image/products/gxm/powerdesk/650_DH_mode_management.jpg) I wonder if it is possible to set it so it 'thinks' there are 2 monitors rather than a single extended screen. Are you able to check this?
If ZionWorx still thinks there is still just a single screen then we will have to make some modifications to the program to allow the main output screen to be more flexible for this situation.
On the display options presently File->Options->Display Settings Tab there is an option to change the dimensions of the main display window. One workaround at present would be to have the projector in output 1 (left side of the wide display) and then set a custom size for the main display to be 1024x768. Then position the desktop control window on the right side of the wide display and that may be sufficient at present.

Hi, I did already try that and have managed to get it to show all programs on left by default. Did try swapping so Zionworx displays on left, but that means you have no Start button etc. I did look at the config file in the data folder and found a reference to FrontOfHouse display settings. If it could be set to start at 1025 horizontally, this I think would cure it.
Thanks

Thanks for the additional feedback. Yes basically what you describe is what we would need to allow; as well as custom dimensions also to have a specific start position. In the immediate term we may be able to do this quite quickly, however also look to work in a simpler way with a Matrox unit. Keep an eye out in the release notes for when this comes out. Hopefully soon.

Hi Christian,
I'm afraid it didn't seem to work. I have selected custom display screen and added 1025 for the left position, but Zionworx still displays on left and assumes that it is a single screen, so I have to Ctrl/F9 to see the display screen.

Hi Alan,
Can you please contact us directly at support@jubilatesoftware.com and send through some screenshots of your Display Settings in Windows and in ZionWorx Options? We can try to resolve this with you directly then. We are also trying to get hold of a DualHead2Go ourselves to test with.
Thanks.0
